January 2022 Newsletter

Dear All

I would like to remind you all of our Zoom meeting next Tuesday at 7pm. Helen Witts from GlucoRx is coming to talk to us about Nexus blood glucose meters which is the brand the Kingston CCG uses.  I believe she is also going to cover Type 1 injectors as well.

I will send out the joining details at the weekend and they will be the usual ones.

We are in the process of confirming the speaker for Tuesday 22nd February but it will be a joint talk by Public Health Kingston and Kingston Adult Education. They will be telling us about health initiatives in Kingston which maybe of interest to people with Diabetes and also asking what else they could do to support us. So start thinking now of any type of course or health support that you would like to see on offer in Kingston.

Denise Robertson from Surrey University has been in touch asking if any of us would like to take part again in some new food trials there so I will send on the details as soon as I receive them.

I am attaching a poster of the latest DUK webinar which this month is on pregnancy so please do pass on these details to anyone you know who might benefit from it. Registration details are below.

This DUK webinar on Diabetes and Pregnancy planning is free and open to all.

Here is the link to register, https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/225780163547  . If you are unable to attend please still register to enable DUK to send you the recording afterwards.

Best wishes
